XL PRE CIVIL WAR 1850's Wild Geese Straight Furrows Antique Quilt GREAT DESIGN! This DAZZLING cotton 1850's (or earlier) "wild geese"/birds in flight quilt is hand pieced and hand quilted, with a wonderful reverse/mirror image pattern. It measures a generous 98" X 100" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of spots (see photos) and no wear, The quilt feels strong and sturdy overall.

There is quilting around the piecework and in grid and leaf designs in the background, all at an even 8-9 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is an early green calico, and the batting is thin.
