Vintage Handpainted Portrait 12 X 12 Wood Handiwork / Lace / Sewing Lidded Box

  
Offering a beautiful, vintage solid wood, hand painted handiwork box. This is a heavy piece measuring 12" X 12" X 10 and weighing in at over 10lbs. On the domed lid there is an amazing, hand-painted portrait of a lady working with bobbins, making lace. The box is painted in black and trimmed in gold and so highly lacquered it created camera flash-back on most of my pictures. The white spots you see on the portrait are not there in person.

The picture is completely clean. The box has no damage other than small nicks in the wood here and there. It is solidly built and the hinges are solid, high quality brass. The bottom has small, old green felt pads, one of which is missing.
