A Very Rare 19th Century Black Needlework Sampler depicting John Wesley's Tomb. Beautifully Hand Stitched in wonderful detail, the inscription on his Tomb reads: "To the Memory of the Venerable JOHN WESLEY who died in his 88th Year", carefully stitched behind. The Railings (which have been finely worked on top) and giving a 3-d effect - Truly Charming!

The embroidered wording beneath read as follows. THE TOMB OF THE Rev'd JOHN WESLEY. Housed in a Black Wooden and Glazed Frame, it is in excellent condition for age.
