MUSEUM QUALITY Vintage Pre Civil War Princess Feather Applique Antique Quilt! This OUTSTANDING cotton 1850's princess feather quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with a wonderful coxcomb border. Notice the overall diamond in a square configuration as you look at the quilt from a distance.

It measures a generous 86" X 88" and is in excellent condition, with a couple of small, faint age spots (hard to find) and no wear. The quilting is EXCEPTIONAL, with quilting around and within the applique and in elaborate feathered, heart, straight line, and other designs quilted throughout at an even 8-10 stitches to the inch. The back is white, the hand stitched binding is the same early green used in the interior, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light.
