MUSEUM QUALITY Vintage 1870's Oak Leaf Rings Antique Applique Quilt AMAZING! This VIBRANT cotton 1870's red and deep teal green oak leaf holly? Wreath quilt is hand appliqued and hand quilted, with an unusual double pattern with overlapping rings in the background. It measures a generous 78" X 90" and is in excellent condition, with the occasional small age spot and no wear. There are close clam shell designs quilted throughout at an even 8 stitches to the inch with faint pencil marks still visible in places.
The back is white, the hand stitched binding is solid red, and the batting is thin. The AMAZING DETAILED APPLIQUE WORK, GREAT COLORS, and COMPLEX DESIGN AND BORDER make this MUSEUM QUALITY 19th century COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out!
