Lovely Victorian Mother of Pearl & Marquetry Sewing Box / Jewellery Box

  
A stunning Victorian, ladies jewellery or sewing box from circa 1885 with lovely coloured marquetry and cut Mother of Pearl, held with filigree brass strips across the front and lid giving it a particularly special finish. The top is Walnut in the main section with sections of other woods as shown. The thick cut Victorian veneer is in excellent condition throughout.

There is an original Mother of Pearl cartuche in the centre of the lid to match with marquetry surround and matching estuchion around the. Inside is fully lined with silver foil paper to the lid, all sides and base. Which will reflect and show off fine jewellery. Please see photographs for full details of condition.
