Exquisite Antique Victorian Wedding Lawn Cotton Petticoat Ruffles & Lace

  
Stunning Antique Victorian era circa 1860's Wedding Petticoat. This is an amazing piece of snowy white fine lawn cotton and hand loomed lace. There are six tiers of ruffles, with beautiful embroidered lace, which cascade elegantly at the back of the skirt. A bustle would have been placed under the petticoat at the back to ensure fullness on the skirt.

The seams are also hand finished. The waist has a drawstring tie at the back and can fit for a size 8 - 12/14. This would most likely have been a special custom order for the bride. Comes in very good condition with no holes or stains. Length from waist to floor at the front is 41 inches (105 cms).

Length from waist to floor at the back is 60 inches 153 cms. A wonderful piece of history which has been very well cared for.
