The reverse is lined with green satin / taffeta stripe fabric. This lining is detached in places & there is a lovely piece of striped ticking between the embroidery & the lining. The cord trim around the edge is also partially detached. In very good condition for its age. There are a couple of places with a moth nibble to the plush embroidery on the roses.
This is not too obvious in real life. The colours are still vibrant. I think the pheasant probably had a glass bead eye originally, which would be quite a simple thing to replace if desired. It looks fine as it is though. It is beautiful but it does look old & not new.
