18thC Silk&Gold Metallic Hand Emb Silk Mat23"LX22"W. This is the tiniest delicate silk ribbonwork I have ever encountered.
The pale pink back silk is damaged and fraying but the exquisite ribbonwork all intact. The pin cushion base is a hard tightly filled something (I don't know what these were filled with). Big pink silk end ribbons are fraying also, pink moiré silk on bottom like new. 4 wide lace surrounds the pin cushion and is in excellent condition.
