Antique 19th c Brussels Duchesse lace deep alb flounce

  
This is a wonderful 19th century Brussels Duchesse lace large, deep alb flounce. Made in one piece, with no join. It measures 116 ins wide, 23.5 ins deep.

Wonderful design of wheatears, flowers and leaves. At the moment it's a dark ecru colour, but would launder to a paler shade of ivory/cream. There are several broken brides and an area of brown staining, but apart from this good condition. From the collection of Enid Purvis.
