Antique 1700s Very Long Blond Silk Needlerun Lace in the style of Carrickmacross and Swiss Lace, its quite possibly a marriage of diferent styles and methods given its history. The very fine needle run detailing is truly exquisite and without any hole or moth damage, although the net itself does have some holes, age related and storage-please see photograghs, it would be perfect, as the Needlerun is excellent, as a project. Perhaps mounting the Needlerun onto silk would bring new life back to this beautiful creation.

This lace is unique and rare, there isn't another quite like this, which has such provenance. It would be the perfect accessory for a Brides vintage wedding, or an indulgent treat for an avid collector. This particular item belonged to a maternal grandparent, who lived in Southern Spain, then they moved to Italy, finally settling in Yorkshire in the late 1800s, this Lace was made whilst they were in Europe, so it's quite possible that it could be from any of these countries. All my items are genuine and from the Era stipulated in the listing.
