Early Fortuny, circa 1920s, pattern in his Melagrana design influenced by a 16th century Turkish design. Tightly woven twill with a ground of bittersweet/pomegranate with light gray overlay. Edged in his signature scrolling R border, professionally lined and interlined. You get subtle color saturation throughout Fortuny pieces due to the fact these fabrics were hand printed and would have had different pressure applied to the stamp. These highs and lows of color are what Fortuny is most known for in his designs.Condition: There is gentle fading at the very top and very bottom from age, typical. Overall size: 75 length x 29 wide with border. If you would like to track or insure your package extra charges will apply. Thank you and I hope you enjoy our auctions!
