Antique French Aubusson Verdure Tapestry Panel. Woven in coloured wools and silks. Depicting a large bird within a verdant woodland setting. SIZE:- 31 inches high x 38 inches wide including border. Antique condition with appropriate signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Please study photographs as they do form part of the description.

On a genuine 17th century verdure tapestry we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 350 years of use, such as loose missing threads, areas of general wear , perhaps areas of re weaving / restoration, lines of separation within the weaving, sometimes areas of sun fading and brittle threads. All quite normal for great age and type.
