An early 18th century French Aubusson Tapestry Panel woven in coloured wool and silks. Backed with antique French linen.

Tapestry panel is approx Three Hundred years old and of course shows appropriate signs of wear commensurate with its great age. Overall in very good condition. An impressive and very decorative pillow perfect for antique or contemporary interior design. SIZE 19 inches x 16 inches. On a genuine 18th century verdure tapestry we would of course expect to see evidence confirming its 300 years of use.

Expect to see loose missing threads, areas of general wear areas of re weaving / restoration, lines of separation within the weaving, delicate areas, sun fading and brittle thread S#2320.
