Here is a hand pieced, appliqued and quilted circa 1800s Turkey Tracks quilt with appliqued borders. The folky patterns are offered in blue calico print with tiny white stars on white ground. The top border is offered in a slightly different blue small print calico. Quilting is worked in tiny stitches of 10 to 13 stitches per inch in closely set rows of ¼ forming straight line patterns with diagonal pattern at the borders. The overall condition and the body of the quilt is very good. There are several areas in the border along the binding that have well-done subtle repairs, some with adjacent remains of small splits. There are at least three of the blue leaves that show small bits of wear and one small area of the border showing minor soiling.
